Preparing for Phase-in!

Superintendent Brabrand has proposed a new phase-in timeline to the School Board.  Please continue to monitor your email for the most updated information about the return to school.

Poe Middle School is ready!  Teams of safety auditors have visited the building to provide feedback around our mitigation plan, signage, and classroom set-up.  Our teams have worked hard to ensure the safety of our students, teachers, and staff.  We are ready to welcome back our students!

The FCPS Family Guide for Return to School has information on topics like concurrent instruction, lunch, the mandatory mask policy, laptops, and health protocols.

Special Olympics

Cool School Penguin Plunge

Due to COVID, we are unable to plunge in person this year.  The event is designed for students and staff to feel like they are at the Plunge without physically attending. It provides a unique experience for all participants, no matter where you are.

The funds raised will provide year-round sports training, competition, leadership opportunities, and health services to 23,000 athletes.
