4th grade had a virtual visit from Alex Liggitt from ABC7 news to talk about the work a meteorologist does, how they predict weather and what it is like to work from home. Students enjoyed his visit and learned so much. Watch the video!


Grab and Go Food for
Winter Break

On Friday, Dec 18, Grab and Go will give out 4 day meal kits for 12/18-12/21.  No food service on December 21.

On Tuesday, Dec 22, Grab and Go will give out 14 day meal kits to carry families over to Monday, Jan 4. 

Herndon Elementary Grab and Go hours are 8am-1pm

NO FOOD SERVICE 12/23-1/3.  It will resume on January 4.

eco club

Bee's Eco-School Club, led by HES teacher Mr. Moseley, has been working on making bird feeders out of recycled milk cartons and bird houses.  The students are learning how to improve the bio-diversity of their own community by starting in their own backyards.  Way to go bees!
