Poe Book Bus
If there’s ever a school cause to rally around, this is it! Poe Middle School students have a desire to read, and the Literacy Department is committed to delivering classroom and library books to students throughout the virtual year. The Poe Book Bus has been deployed to help students escape the 2020 chaos into a world of fiction, fantasy, and learning. Poe Middle School would love for the community to rally behind its students to show them that their neighbors are behind them every step of the way. Volunteer roles are needed to do the following:
Packing
Sorting books that have been checked out by students
Organizing and staging books for distribution
Distributing
Staffing the student pick-up sites at local elementary schools
Ensuring books checked out are delivered to the students
Re-shelving
Adjusting inventory for return books
Inserting books back into the circulating inventory
Please sign up to volunteer to help MAKE IT HAPPEN for our students!
It takes a village, and this is the perfect opportunity for parents and teachers to connect so Poe Middle School students can thrive despite the hurdles of 2020. To volunteer, please use the link for the Signup Genius to register.
