Twain Library proudly presents… Curbside Checkout & Return Service!
Students can reserve physical books and Playaway devices from Twain’s Library, with pickups on Mondays!
To check out a book or Playaway, students should log in to the Destiny Discover online catalog — https://search.follettsoftware.com/metasearch/ui/102036 —and search for an item to check out. Click the “hold” button to reserve the item. Important: you must be logged in to “hold” an item! Holds requested by 3:30 pm on Friday will be ready for pick up the following Monday.
Students will receive a message in Schoology from a librarian by 9:00 am on Monday letting them know the item is ready for pick up. Come to Entrance 1 at Twain between 10 am and 2 pm on Monday to pick up the library item and to return items previously checked out.
Follow the instructions on the sign at the main entrance to let the librarians know you are there for curbside pickup. A librarian will bring the items, bagged and labeled with the student’s name. Return library items by placing them in the labeled plastic bin just inside the main entrance. All returned items will be quarantined for one week before being checked back in and returned to the library collection for checkout.
There will be NO curbside checkout on Monday, November 23. Holds for November 30 checkout need to be placed by 3:30 pm on Tuesday, November 24.
On November 30, an additional pick up time is being offered from 4:45 to 6:15 pm. This is offered on a trial basis while we measure demand for evening pick up. We may continue Monday evening pickups every other week if there is enough demand.

PTA Updates
Thank you to everyone who attended our PTA meeting on November 17 at 7:00pm. It has come to our attention that our February-May meetings match those of Edison’s PTA, so we are looking at possibly changing date/time. Updates will be posted on the PTA page on the Mark Twain Middle School website and through News You Choose and Facebook.
The PTA will be receiving a check for $138.01 from Panera after our Spirit Night-Eat Out this month. Thank you to those who supported us at this event!
We are currently working out details for the December Krispy Kreme event. Stay tuned for more info!

Family Life Education Parent Preview
