Franklin MS Weekly Update - November 20

Franklin Families and Students,

Good afternoon! Thank you to all of our students, staff, and families for your hard work, dedication, and support that made this a successful week at Franklin!

We know that there is a lot of information being shared right now about the operating status of FCPS. I would like to provide you with more information  about the current health metrics in FCPS and the health mitigation strategies for reopening schools.

At this time, there are no changes to the current operating status at Franklin and our instructional schedule for next week will remain unchanged. All students will have their Check and Connect session on Monday morning at 8:00 AM and we will follow our normal schedule on Tuesday.

I also would like you to Save the Date for two events that will take place in January at Franklin. We will host an Equity Town Hall on January 13 and our annual Curriculum Night will take place on January 21. More details will be shared in the coming weeks about both of these important events.

As we look forward to the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday, we want to encourage our families and students to disconnect from school and technology during this time. To support this, the FMS staff will not be assigning any work over this break or have large projects and tests occurring immediately upon our return. We will follow a similar practice during the winter and spring breaks.

Please feel free to contact me directly at dpwright@fcps.edu if there is anything we can do to support your student and your family. Best wishes for a relaxing and enjoyable weekend.

Sincerely,

Dustin Wright

Principal
