Message from the Principal

Langley HS

Greetings Saxons,

We had a fabulous PSAT administration for our juniors yesterday.  It was great to see students and kids in the building. While faces may have been masked, the smiles were felt throughout the school. A huge thank you to our Assessment Coach Jan Dabroski for the countless hours of planning and organizing necessary to arrange such an event. A shout out also to each of the staff members who came in to assist with testing. This event would not have been possible without their efforts.

We also thank our PTSA for showing love to our staff by providing face masks and treats for faculty who were here for testing. The support shown by the organization is so appreciated by the school. We are fortunate to have such caring, supportive association.

With school closure, we have not had much to celebrate with sports. However, this week, there is phenomenal news to share in Saxon Country! Senior Kelly Chinn has been selected as the Rolex Junior Player of the Year and a Rolex First Team Junior All American. For more information, check out the article from Wednesday’s Washington Post. Kelly, we congratulate you and your family. We are so very proud of you. Langley is truly fortunate to have such a wonderful student athlete. The only thing which outshines Kelly’s golf expertise is his humility.

Kelly Chinn, a senior at Langley High School, named junior boys’ golfer of the year

Duke commit and Great Falls resident Kelly Chinn is the first player from Virginia to win this prestigious award from the American Junior Golf Association.

Please remember to set your clocks back this Sunday evening. May you have a wonderful Halloween weekend which contains only treats and no tricks.

Wishing you wellness,

Kimberly Greer
