Franklin MS Weekly Update - October 30

Franklin Families and Students,

Good Afternoon!

We hope that you have had a great week. It has been exciting at Franklin as we welcomed back some of our students to in-person instruction on Monday. I am very proud of the hard work our teachers, staff, families, and students have done to make this transition a successful one.

It is hard to believe that today is the end of the 1st quarter. I would encourage all of you to review the message all FCPS families received from Dr. Brabrand yesterday and the video that accompanied it.

Thank you to those of you who were able to join me for our Parent and Family Town Hall on Wednesday night. If you were unable to attend, the links below will provide you with a recording of the session and a copy of the presentation that was used during the event.

I know that this is a lot of information to consider and that it is a difficult decision to make. We will honor the choice you made in the FCPS July survey to determine the setting for instruction. If your circumstances have changed and you would like to change the choice you made in July, please complete the form found at the link below by November 6 and we will try to accommodate your request based on the availability of staff and space. This deadline has been extended to allow our families additional time to make this important decision. We will strive to minimize the impact of this transition, however, some students may experience a change in schedule or class assignment as we work to accommodate everyone’s preferences.

Complete This Form to Update Your Choice by November 6

Thank you again for your partnership during the 1st quarter of the academic year. In a school year unlike any other, we are grateful for everything you are doing to support your student!

Sincerely,

Dustin Wright

Principal
