The HES PTA presented a virtual Not-So-Spooky Story Hour on Monday and many families joined in to see teachers read their favorite, not-so-spooky books! Thank you to our AWESOME PTA who also coordinated a Spirit Day/Night at Anita's restaurant and an Online Safety presentation by FCPS at the general meeting this week. View the recording here.

Tuesday, November 3 HES Office Closed NO GRAB and GO
The Office will be Closed on Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2020. We will be working remotely that day and if needed you may send an email to segoodwin@fcps.edu.
There will be NO FCPS Grab and Go. Pick up an extra one on Monday, November 2, 8:00 am-1:00 pm at HES.

FREE Monday Mingle Clubs Taught by HES Teachers for HES Students. Register now!
Monday Mingle Clubs are an opportunity for 1-6 grade students to pursue a topic of interest with other peers and a Herndon specialist in a fun, friendly VIRTUAL environment. Clubs begin November 9.

NEW Technology Help Hours begin November 4
In-person instruction has begun for select groups at Herndon ES. We have created a new system and hours for drive up technology help.
- Drive into the front loop of HES and park near the shed.
- Call the front office at 703-326-3100 and our tech will come to your car. Please make sure everyone is wearing a mask.
- Hours of drive up service Monday-Friday (except holidays):
8:15-9:00 am
12:00-1:00 pm
2:15-3:30 pm

From November 4th- November 24th, in place of regular book mobile checkout, the Herndon community is invited to come and pick out free books. Thank you to the Herndon Rotary Club for organizing this event! We received some AMAZING titles. Come by in November and find your next favorite book!
