Hello Fairfax Villa Elementary Families!
We are excited to announce that we are running an Original Works Online at Home program this year! Original Works will turn your child’s artwork or photo into custom keepsakes to share with family and friends. You will be able to upload an image, order online, and have the products shipped to your home, so it’s a great setup for our virtual learning environment. Each purchase supports the PTA and our students!
The attached flier has instructions for how to set up an account, create and upload artwork, and purchase products. Use the school code FAFA at checkout to ensure that Fairfax Villa gets credit for your order! Our ordering deadline is November 20, 2020.

They also provide helpful guidelines so that your child’s art looks its best!
- To produce the most stunning results, use the entire art paper with color, minimizing white space.
- Placing a single small handprint (or similar) in the center of the white paper can often give the appearance that the hand is floating on the project.
- Many products are printed using a full bleed, which means that the image is printed from edge to edge. Remember to keep the important details 1" from the edge!
- Keep in mind… words written on the artwork can be hard to read when reproduced on the smaller products like keychains, small 4 pack magnets, etc.
- Adding borders to your art creates a nice, finished look. You can paint a border or use cardstock.
- Bold bright colors reproduce best. Using pencil or lightly drawn images will often be hard to see.
