Friday October 30th - All Day in Virtual Classes
Lake Anne is a community of readers. We'd like to celebrate that by having a Book Character Day on Friday, October 30th. Students and staff are encouraged to dress as book characters for the day. (Please make sure that the characters are from school-appropriate books.) Let's share our love of reading and learning!

Fairfax Meal Kits, containing seven (7) days of breakfast and lunch items packed in bulk, will be offered at Lake Anne on Wednesdays. Meal kits will be available for pick up from 8:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. or until supplies are exhausted. Distribution will take place at Door #13, near the entrance into the cafeteria. All meals are available at no-cost to FCPS students and children eighteen (18) years of age and under. Parents/caregivers may pick up for children and adults may purchase kits for $28.00. YMCA Fairfax County Reston in partnership with Child Care Resources will be distributing meals to children 18 years of age an younger. Children do not have to be present to pick up. Meal boxes meet USDA school lunch standards and are shelf stable. Please bring your own bag!
Update for November 2nd & November 3rd
Monday, November 2nd and Tuesday, November 3rd are Teacher Workdays and Student Holidays (no school for students). Because November 3rd is Election Day, our Grab & Go Free Food Service will not be available on November 3rd, however, families who come on Monday, November 2nd for Grab & Go meals will be served two days-worth of food.

Creativity
October 26th - October 30th
Next week's P2 character strength is creativity. The fine folks at the Positivity Project have created a resource - P2 for Families to help you discuss the character strength with your child. You’ll find 1 quote, 1 video, and 3 questions to help you and your children discuss The Positivity Project’s character strength of the week. Visit this site - password is: P2 - select the character strength for the week and explore the resource with your child.

For Progress Reports & Report Cards
To take advantage of the paperless options, parents and/or guardians will need to log into ParentVUE, then go to “My Account” and select "Go Paperless" Click Here to log in
All parents and/or guardians who live with the student and share the same address must have a SIS ParentVUE account and must select the paperless option to prevent mailing of the printed progress reports.
The “Go Paperless” option will apply to all their associated students, no matter what school level. If the associated parent and/or guardian has already selected “Go Paperless” for their secondary student, the option will now apply to any ES siblings as well.
If you have not received your access code to open a ParentVue account, please call Lake Anne ES at 703-326-3500 and we will provide you with one.
