SR&R Updates and SR&R Parent Acknowledgement Form

Parents and guardians, please review the Student Rights and Responsibilities and related resources at www.fcps.edu/srr.  After reviewing the information, fill out the SR&R Parent Acknowledgement Form using this link we have provided.  The form must be filled out one time per student. https://forms.gle/9eAU4UuBgeHLyrRbA

Hard copies of the Students Rights and Responsibilities are available. Please contact the front office if your family would prefer a hard copy.

Student Emergency Care Forms

Many of you have yet to access “We Care” to ensure we have the correct information on your Emergency Care form.  Please could you take a few minutes to go in and check/update your child’s form.  Once you do this we will have an electronic record we can print off for our files.  Even though we are virtual at the moment, it is still important we have your correct contact information. Please CLICK HERE for instructions on accessing and updating your child's Emergency Care information online.

Action Required: We Need Your Consent for Select Digital Resources

At Spring Hill ES, our teachers will use a variety of digital resources to support student learning and promote communication and collaboration with students and families. Some of the digital resources your child may use this year will require your consent before they can be used. You can find our school’s list of the resources that require parental consent here: https://springhilles.fcps.edu/adopteddigitalresources

Included on this page is also a link to a form where the enrolling parent or guardian will need to indicate whether or not their student is allowed to use the list of digital resources this year. This page also provides more information about how FCPS carefully reviews digital resources for approval and why we must request your consent before using certain tools. We encourage you to complete the parental consent for digital resources form as soon as possible, as your child will not be able to use the digital resources until we have received your permission. Please reach out to Bill Mosher, School Based Technology Specialist, if you have questions or concerns about the digital resources we’ve chosen to use this year.

Virtual Parent/Teacher Conferences

Parent-Teacher conferences will be held prior to December 1st. Your child’s teacher will be reaching out to you to schedule them soon.

Student Materials from Last Spring

Our front office has been contacting families regarding students’ items that were cleaned out of desks last Spring. If you still need to pick up your child’s personal items, please contact the front office. We will be disposing of all student materials on Friday, October 16th if they have not been claimed.

Attention 4th, 5th, and 6th Grade Students!

Spring Hill is starting a virtual Student Advisory Panel for students to provide input and suggestions for the Spring Hill Community. Ms. Ciullo and Mrs. Briggs will host a discussion with students on how we can improve Spring Hill, what kind of virtual student-driven events we can promote, and provide students with an opportunity to share their ideas. Meetings will take place every 4-6 weeks on Mondays and are open to any student in grades 4, 5, or 6.

Our first Panel will be held on Monday, October 19 at 1pm. This month’s topic will be “How to Encourage Full School Involvement in Halloween”. Students can join the session by going to Blackboard 24/7 Learning and entering the Panther Portal Course. On the left tabs, select “BBCU – Specials”, and then scroll to the second page and select “Student Advisory Panel”. This virtual room will not open until October 19, the day of our first meeting.

Library Curbside Pickup

Next week is the next curbside pickup of library books. If your child would like books, please place holds on the Library Catalog or use the book request forms (Grades K-2 or Grades 3-6). You will receive an email next week to select a time to pickup the books. More information can be found on the Library button of the Panther Portal. Please direct all questions regarding curbside pickup to Miss Ciullo and Mrs. DeVylder at SpringHillLibrary@fcps.edu.
