Holiday - Monday, October 12th

Monday, October 12th is a student holiday in celebration of Indigenous People’s Day. I have asked our faculty to use it as a mental health day and hope the students will take the opportunity for a break as well.

Teachers will not be available for office hours and students are not expected to complete asynchronous assignments. Classes and operations will resume on Tuesday, October 13th.

TJ Admissions

A Big Change is Coming!  Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology, renowned nationwide for its excellence in education, is changing the admissions process.  In an effort to increase diversity in the student population and its community, dialogues and town hall meetings with the school board members and the Superintendent are underway.  Some of the changes that may become effective for the rising Freshmen next fall are, elimination of the admissions test and the testing fee, and the plan to increase student enrollment.  This may offer additional opportunities for those students interested in STEM at TJ.   Please follow the newest update at www.tjadmissions.org.
