Many of our families participated in the Walk to School this week. Thanks to the families who brought canned food items that were donated to the Madison Food Pantry!

From the Principal's Desk:

It is hard to believe that we are in October and we have had five weeks of virtual instruction! Our teachers and staff continue to work hard each day to prepare and deliver best practices in the virtual environment. In addition, discussions are underway for the phasing in of different groups of students to return to the school building. We were fortunate to have Melanie Merin, our Hunter Mill School Board Representative, attend the October PTA meeting to share her thoughts and answer questions for our community surrounding this year's learning experiences. The latest proposal will be shared by Dr. Brabrand at next week's school board meeting. I encourage you to continue to remain engaged with the information as it is shared. We expect to hear updates with target dates for the option for students to return to in person instruction. At Louise Archer, we continue to support our virtual instruction and we are working behind the scenes to prepare for the phasing in of our students this year. Thank you for all you are doing at home to encourage a positive learning environment!
