Spring Hill Library Announcements

The Spring Hill Library has two very important announcements to make:

Curbside Checkout

We are excited to announce that Spring Hill Library is beginning curbside checkout this week! It will run every other week from now on. Students may put up to 5 books on hold or complete a book request form through Monday, Oct. 5 for this first round. Emails will be sent on Tuesday, Oct. 6 to confirm the request and ask that you select a pickup time on Thursday, Oct.8 or Friday, Oct. 9. Pickup will occur outside the main entrance of the school (door 1). When completed, books may be returned to the bins outside the front doors from 9-4 on school days. All books will be quarantined for 7 days upon return per FCPS policy. For more information regarding curbside checkout or to access the book request forms, please see the Library button on the Panther Portal or the Spring Hill Library Google Site (students will need to be logged into their fcpsschools.net account on Google for this website to open). Additional questions should be sent to our librarians, Miss Ciullo and Mrs. DeVylder, at SpringHillLibrary@fcps.edu.

Fairfax County Public Library LEAP Program

As of October 1, 2020, Library Equity Access Pass (LEAP) accounts were created for all students in Fairfax County Public Schools. These public library virtual accounts will allow students to check out up to three items at a time for six weeks each (no renewals). A student can have a LEAP account as well as a standard library account (application online and in library branches). Standard accounts allow users to place holds on materials and access FCPL’s digital resources such as eBooks and databases. For more information regarding this program, please see the Fairfax County Public Library website.

Thank you,
