"Stuff the Bus": Food Drive Saturday 9/26

Since the COVID-19 pandemic began, demand for food has increased dramatically across the county.

On Saturday, September 26 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Fastran buses will be parked at locations throughout Fairfax County and the City of Fairfax to collect food donations. Buses will be located in all Board of Supervisors’ offices and the Fairfax County Government Center, and allow for  donors to comply with social distancing recommendations. The donations will benefit 10 nonprofits in Fairfax County.

Visit Fairfax County's website for locations, times, and tips on how to donate safely.

Concerned about donating in person? There is also a way to support the food drive virtually, through a link on the Volunteer Fairfax website.

Collect For Kids is a Huge Success

Thanks to your generosity, this summer's Collect for Kids record-breaking campaign raised more than $130,000 to assist the nearly 60,000 children in need in Fairfax County Public Schools. These funds were used to purchase essential school supplies for elementary and secondary students that will help them succeed both virtually and in person.

Your contributions made a real difference in the lives of our students.
