Back to School Night
SEPTEMBER 23, 6:30 p.m. - 8:15 p.m.
All parents and guardians are invited to attend Back to School Night (BTSN) on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 from 6:30 – 8:15 p.m. This year, the event will be held virtually through BBCU.
On Friday, September 18, enrolling parents and guardians will be emailed a copy of their student’s schedule to follow during BTSN. The email will contain individual links for each of your student’s classes, which will allow you to access each teacher’s class at the scheduled time. See below for the schedule of time.
This schedule will be sent directly to the main email address of the enrolling parent or guardian, and we ask that they share this schedule with any other adult that needs this schedule. In order to maintain the security of these classes, we ask that you do not share these links with anyone else. These links are different than your student’s normal classroom links.
If you do not receive your student’s schedule by the end of Friday, September 18, please email Jane Russell jwrussell@fcps.edu or Fatima Mejia (Spanish) fmejia@fcps.edu or call the main office at 703-810-2200. All parents should be in their student’s first period virtual classroom at 6:30 p.m. Students are welcome to attend BTSN as interpreters for their parents if necessary. Additionally, starting at 6:00 p.m. on Sept. 23, school staff members will be available to answer any questions about accessing Back to School Night or to answer general questions about the school. Parents who need support can visit the room here.
Prior to the start of the session, we also encourage parents to view our pre-BTSN activities at our BTSN website. This is still under construction but will include welcome messages from the principal, the HHS PTSA, and the school board. There will also be video information about HHS clubs and activities, an opportunity to review Family Life Education materials, and a review of overall school information.
When entering rooms, please use your name or initials to join the session. Please note, Google Chrome is often the most reliable browser for BBCU. Teachers may be utilizing audio and chat to answer questions.
If you are unable to attend, we plan to post recordings so that you can access your students’ sessions after the 23rd.

- There is no session for 4th period class this year since this is students’ Stinger time.
