Principal Office Hours

Ms. Mukai, principal, will be holding Principal Office Hours and invites all families to come share their experiences with school this year. There will not be a formal presentation, but a conversation to learn what is working well and what could make the learning experience even more valuable for students.

Principal Office Hours will be offered at this virtual meeting space for the next three weeks:

  • Wednesday, September 23 7:30 a.m - 8:00 a.m.

  • Wednesday, September 30 5:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

  • Wednesday, October 7 3:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Please come share your experience, offer ideas, and ask questions!

Library Curbside Pickup for Grades K-3 is Starting

Curbside Library Book Pickup for Grades K – 3 will begin on Wednesday, September 23, between 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.!  Wear your mask and come to Brookfield’s Kiss n Ride Door to get library books for your children.  Cars and walkers are welcome.

Here’s how we’ll do it:

We’ll have books already checked out to your child and ready to go when you come to pick them up.

  • You’ll also get a bookmark with your child’s name on it.
  • The bookmark has a list of books we know the kids like.  Please check off anything your child might want next time.  You can write in a request too.
  • Return the books and bookmark when you come to get your child's next set of books on Wednesday, October 7, between 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.

It’s important that you try to make it here on September 23.  We won’t be able to make individual appointments.

We’ll do the same process for Grades 4 – 6 on Wednesday, September 30.

Assessments Update

In the next few weeks your child will be taking a variety of assessments across content areas. The purpose of these assessments is to determine students’ areas of strength and growth. Teachers will then use the information to develop targeted lessons for your child. For this reason, it is imperative that students do this work on their own. Remind your student that the assessment is not graded and will be used by their teacher to help them learn this school year. It is okay if they do not know the answer to a question as it will tell the teacher that they need help to learn that concept.
