Updates Regarding Student Instruments
Students received a demonstration of instruments this week during class. Please see below for grade level information regarding instrument sign up, forms, and distribution.
3rd Grade Violin:
Please check your child’s fcpsschools.net (Gmail) account for the following items: Google Form for student information and Instrument Rental Contract (English or Spanish). Please reply to Ms. Scher or Mr. Blank with the filled out contract electronically. Instruments will be distributed at the end of September/beginning of October. Please email nrscher@fcps.edu or jblank@fcps.edu with any questions.
4th and 5th Grades Band/Strings
Please check your child’s fcpsschools.net (Gmail) account for a Google Form to choose their instrument. Information regarding instrument rentals will be forthcoming. School rented instruments will be distributed at the end of September/beginning of October. Please email nrscher@fcps.edu (strings) or jblank@fcps.edu (band) with any questions.
All parents will need to access this link and complete the information BEFORE you can use any of the digital resources (websites) listed here: Bailey’s Upper Public School Website. Please note some of these resources will be used often and others may be used from time to time.
To provide your parental consent for each student in your family, please follow this link and complete the provided directions.
Due to the virtual start of the school year, the Student-Parent Survey for Federal Impact Aid will be handled centrally this year. Pre-printed survey forms will be mailed to parents of specific students, likely the week of October 19th. Parents will be asked to return the survey in an enclosed postage-paid envelope by November 6th. The forms will be mailed back to Wilton Woods Center for processing by Information Technology (IT).

- 100s of ebooks and audiobooks are available for all students through MackinVIA, the ebook platform for the FCPS library system.
- Books can be read via the website at fairfax.mackinvia.com . When logging in, students should choose this:
