School Tips

We hope you had a great weekend!  As we start week number two, we wanted to share three helpful tips as we work together to support our students' learning.

  1. Establish Routine: post a visual schedule of your child’s day. Click here  for a sample first grade schedule.
  2. Problem Solve: Have a conversation with your child about what is considered an emergency and what can wait.  Teach a signal that you will use to indicate that you are in a meeting and can’t be disturbed unless it is an emergency.  Encourage your child to raise his or her virtual hand and ask a teacher for help.
  3. Encourage your child to visit the Wolf Pack Relaxation Room when he or she needs a break (note: your child must be logged into their fcpsschools.net account).

Please don’t hesitate to reach out to your child’s teacher or the Oak Hill clinical team for more tips.
