Hello WHES Family,
We have been working with our Food and Nutrition Services as well as the Transportation Office to establish additional food distribution stops for our students. The following stops will be available tomorrow. Please take advantage of this opportunity for your child to pick up a FREE breakfast and lunch each school day.
7:20am - Madge Lane and Graves Street
7:45am - Forest Place and Washington Square Apartments.
SUPPLY DISTRIBUTION
We will be cancelling the supply distribution today due to the severe thunderstorms that will be arriving in the area this afternoon.
Anyone who has not picked up supplies already can come to the school tomorrow from 3:00-5:00pm. Sorry for the inconvenience, but we are considering everyone’s safety.
ATTENDANCE
As always, we need your child in school and we will be monitoring their attendance and recording absences. Please be aware that...
- FCPS and the Virginia Department of Education have stated student attendance must be recorded every school day.
- Parents should report their student’s absences to school any day students are unable to participate in learning, including on Mondays. They may report the absences by calling the WHES attendance line 703-799-2020 or emailing: https://woodleyhillses.fcps.edu/attendance-form .
- When parents do not report their students’ absences, teachers and school personnel will call to identify the student’s absence reasons.
- An eNotify (electronic) message will be sent to parents about the student absence. Parents should then call the school and provide information about the student absence.
