Did you know that there’s a discussion group for families of McLean High School students with ADHD?

The McLean HS ADHD Forum is a venue for parents to share strategies and resources with the common goal of managing the challenges presented by ADHD and celebrating the unique talents of their children. Here’s a sampling of topics from the group: The number of AP and honors classes taken, IEP and 504 accommodations, SAT and ACT accommodations, and college applications. There is an advantage to having these conversations with families that have similar circumstances. Interested in learning more about the group? Check out https://mcleanptsa.org/special-education-resources/.

Volunteer Openings

The McLean PTSA is an all-volunteer organization. Every program the PTSA runs is planned, funded and implemented by the creative, energetic and generous families of McLean High School.

Whether you have the time and energy to chair a committee or prefer to volunteer an hour at an occasional event, YOUR PTSA NEEDS YOU and appreciates all that you do!

Come join us in our efforts to enrich the education of students, support administration and staff, and build an informed, connected community.

All open positions can be found here: https://mcleanptsa.org/volunteer/

Additionally, we'll highlight one open position each week until all are filled! Please consider sharing your talents and energy with MHSPTSA!

Health & Wellness Committee Co-Chair

Organize events for students that promote wellness and collaborate with Student Services and school psychologists to deliver programs (e.g., Wellness Wednesdays, yoga, therapy dogs). In light of the virtual start for the school year, the chair will plan and organize virtual events that focus on mental health and wellness of students and support family life education.
