We are beyond excited to welcome you back to school tomorrow! We look forward to seeing your children online at 8:50 on Tuesday morning. You have received the BBCU or Google Meet/Google Classroom link/code from your child’s teacher in the fcpsschools.net gmail account. That link will take you directly to the first day of school!
Below are some important beginning-of-the-year, need-to-know items to ensure that the children will have a strong start to the school year. If you have questions about anything, please reach out to the Dogwood office at (703) 262-3100 between 8am-4pm. Our teachers and staff are also available to answer any questions you may have during these hours.

As we start the year virtually, we are requesting that these beginning of the year forms be completed virtually, if possible. If you are new to Dogwood, you already completed most of these forms when you registered your child.

(Please note that weCare@school is a part of FCPS 24-7 Learning : Parent View. In order to log into Parent View it is necessary to have an active SIS Parent Account. Once the SIS Parent Account is created the same log in credentials will also work for FCPS 24-7 Learning : Parent View.)

Parent Consent for Children to Use Digital Resources: We need parent consent to use many of our excellent online tools and website when we teach your children. This Permission Form explains the resources we use and gives us permission.

We are incredibly excited to continue our school-family partnership and share important information about this school year, including curriculum, daily schedule, learning expectations in a virtual environment, and school routines & procedures in order to help your child learn, grow, and thrive this school year.
We will begin at 5:00pm with school-wide messages and information followed by grade level sessions as follows:
Grades PK, K, 1, 2, 3 from 5:20pm-5:50pm
Grades 4, 5, 6 from 5:55pm-6:25pm

Does your child need a school-issued laptop and school supplies for virtual learning this year?
Please complete THIS form and join us on Monday, September 14th between 9am-11am at Door 1 for our makeup distribution event.
*For newly enrolled families, please be sure to have your child fully registered with all forms submitted prior to the 14th in order to receive a device.
As we learn together in this virtual environment as adults and families, our staff is excited to present a series of free trainings and support sessions for Dogwood families. Look for the information coming soon in News You Choose with a menu of parent sessions during the first quarter.
