We Need Your Consent for Select Digital Resources

Dear Families,

At Mason Crest, our teachers will use a variety of digital resources to support student learning and promote communication and collaboration with students and families. Some of the digital resources your child may use this year will require your consent before they can be used. You can find our school’s list of the resources that require parental consent here: https://masoncrestes.fcps.edu/adopteddigitalresources

Included on this page is also a link to a form where the enrolling parent or guardian will need to indicate whether or not their student is allowed to use the list of digital resources this year. This page also provides more information about how FCPS carefully reviews digital resources for approval and why we must request your consent before using certain tools. We encourage you to complete the parental consent for digital resources form as soon as possible, as your child will not be able to use the digital resources until we have received your permission. Please reach out to your child’s classroom teacher if you have questions or concerns about the digital resources we’ve chosen to use this year. Returning Forms

Each family should have received two important forms in the mail last week:

• Emergency Care Card
• Heath Information Form

We need to have these forms returned to update our school records. If you are coming to school this upcoming week for our School Supply Distribution on Wednesday, September 2, please feel free to bring the forms with you at that time. You may also drop them by the office or mail them to 3705 Crest Dr. Annandale, VA 22003.

Virtual Open House

Tuesday, September 1

Meet your child's teacher by logging into their Blackboard Collaborate Classroom. Teachers will be hosting two sessions to welcome all of our families to the 2020-2021 school year.

• 4:45 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Meet and Greet
• 5:00 p.m. - 5:40 p.m. Session 1
• 5:45 p.m. - 6:25 p.m. Session 2 

Classroom teachers will be able to answer any questions you have about the first day of school and the upcoming school year. We are looking forward to "seeing" you all soon!
