Providing students and parents with important updates and reports of events and happenings in the middle school.
Good evening Robinson Ram families! Week two with our teachers and staff was absolutely amazing! I appreciate how hard each team is working and preparing for you to be in class. We also got to meet so many new Rams this week during RAMping up! Thank you to all who participated!
Two very important updates:
On Wednesday, September 2nd, at 9 am, students will participate in a Virtual Orientation/Check-In by logging into their 1st period class using Blackboard Collaborate. Students will receive an email invite from, notification-service@bbcollab.com, with a link from their 1st period teacher, to their @fcpsschools.net account. Your Ram should receive their 1st period class link on either August 31st or September 1st. During the Virtual Orientation/Check-In, your Ram will receive important information regarding the first week of school including the bell schedule, Learning Seminar, resources for technology support, etc. Please remind your Ram to log in on September 2nd, at 9 am. The rest of your Ram’s class links will be e-mailed after the Virtual Orientation/Check-In. Schedules will be available in StudentVue and ParentVue on Wednesday, September 2nd.
If your student is unable to log in on September 2nd, at 9 am, please notify their 1st period teacher via email. Teacher emails can be found in SIS or at the online Robinson Staff Directory.
Please let us know if you have any questions.
On Wednesday, September 2nd at 7 pm, there will be a Town Hall meeting with Principal Phillips and Associate Principal Wong, as well as other administrators, to address questions that students and families have related to distance learning and our virtual opening of school. Additional information to include the BBCU link, will be forthcoming.
If you are newly enrolled to FCPS, you should have received a SIS parent activation letter between August 26th and August 28th. If you did not, please contact Ms. Knowlton at 703-426-2222.
Please continue to e-mail or call us if you have questions, concerns, or ideas. We are all in this together!

To support families who are working with their children during distance learning, Fairfax County Public Schools is launching a new Parent Technology Help Desk, effective today, Monday, August 24. The number is 1-833-921-3277 (833-921-FCPS). It will be answered by staff 7 a.m.to 11 p.m., seven days a week. If the help desk is unable to solve the issue on the phone with the parent or guardian, they will enter a ticket on the parent’s behalf and the request for help will be transferred to the appropriate FCPS team.
Parents or guardians who need help in a language other than English should let help desk staff know, and an interpreter will join them on the line. (FCPS also has existing parent information phone lines, available in eight different languages, that can assist with general questions about FCPS.)
FCPS has also set up an online portal to allow older students and parents and guardians to request technology help directly.
