Thank you to Kurt Barth for selecting us for his Eagle Scout Project. We love our new outdoor learning space!
This year our teachers will be using the app “Talking Points” to communicate with families. This app will allow us to talk with each family in their corresponding language. The easiest way to use this feature, is to download the Parent Talking Points App. We have included some supports to help you get started. Including help with changing your language and how to use text to speech. If at any point you do not want to receive messages through Talking Points, you can unsubscribe.
If you have not yet had an opportunity to meet your child’s teacher, we encourage you to stop in their Google Classroom any time Thursday, August 27 from 5PM-5:30PM . If you would like to meet any of our specials teachers, we invite you to stop at the links below any time from 5:30PM-6:00PM.
Our amazing PTA is hosting a Kindergarten Playdate on September 1st. This will be an opportunity for kids to have fun together while giving parents an opportunity to meet.

FCPS has created a new Parent Technology Help Desk. If you need support with technology, you should reach out to the Parent Technology Help Desk. The number is 1-833-921-3277 (833-921-FCPS). It will be answered by staff from 7 a.m.to 11 p.m., seven days a week. If the help desk is unable to solve the issue on the phone with the parent or guardian, they will enter a ticket on the parent’s behalf and the request for help will be transferred to the appropriate FCPS team. FCPS also has existing parent information phone lines, available in eight different languages, that can assist with general questions about FCPS. An online portal is also available to allow older students and parents and guardians to request technology help directly.
Below are several links that will help to answer many of your technology-related questions:

Pine Spring has been very fortunate to have so many wonderful supplies donated. We want to thank FCPS Title I office, Fairfax 9-1-1 dispatch, and each of you who stopped to donate school supplies. We will use these supplies, along with supplies we have purchased, to develop bags for each child.
The bags will have everything you need to start our virtual school year off strong. We have items like pencils, crayons, white boards, dry erase markers, art sketch books and they even have earbuds!
As soon as the last of our items are delivered, we will schedule days for you to drive by and pick your materials up curbside. We appreciate your patience as we prepare these supplies for distribution and we will communicate plans as they are developed.
