Dear Fairhill Families,
Can you believe we are a week away from the start of school? Thank you all for coming to pick up your virtual supply kits and laptops. A special shout out to the Myers, Page and Lee families for keeping our staff well fed and hydrated during our distribution days. We are delighted to extend a warm welcome to you and your children. You can continue to find additional information on our school website at www.fcps.edu/FairhillES. We have much to celebrate! Our students are exceptional. Our community is involved and supportive. Our staff is professional and talented. All of these important ingredients help make Fairhill the great school that it is!
You are an important part of ensuring your child’s school success. Together, we can facilitate your child’s learning and growth. Please free to reach out to any of our staff members with any questions or concerns. We ask that you give each staff member 48 hours to reply to your email as they are busy during the day teaching and caring for our tigers.
At Fairhill we are a Positivity Project partner school and have a #positivityinaction mindset. We ask that all email communication be done with a respectful tone. We are all here to ensure that every tiger has the best educational experience possible.
Each classroom teacher is in need of a room parent. If you are interested in this role, please let your child’s teacher know at the Back to School Bash on September 10th. Room parents help with PTA communication as well as coordination with the teachers for some class activities.
As we look for ways to stay connected our PTA is a great way to start! Please start by joining our wonderful PTA.
We are filled with hope, excitement and joy as we start the year. We look forward to seeing everyone at our Back to School Bash.

Digital Resources at Fairhill-Parent Consent Form
Fairhill will be using a variety of digital resources and tools this year, and parent permission is required for some of these applications. FCPS is committed to using innovative tools that positively impact learning while ensuring student privacy and safety.
The list of resources for Fairhill can be found on the Digital Resources at Fairhill Webpage. This page outlines the tools with links to more information, as well as the parent consent form.
Please complete the parent consent form so that our teachers know if permission has been provided for these tools to be used with your child.

(Updated) Supply Lists for 2020-2021
Our amazing staff has updated the supply lists for virtual learning. You can access these lists by clicking here.
In addition to these limited supplies for home, Fairhill and the Fairhill PTA have purchased a core set of materials for each student. These "Virtual Supply Kits" will be available during laptop distribution.

 Mrs. Hilton will be joining Ms. Blakley's kindergarten class!
 Ms. Jenkins will be supporting students primarily in 1st grade.

New Virtual Learning Tech Tips Videos
New videos have been posted on the virtual learning playlist. They include tips on signing in, locating assignments, and submitting assignments in Google Classroom, as well as how to use Blackboard Collaborate Ultra (BBCU). Go to the video learning playlist.
