Eagle Families,
What a huge turnout we had this past Wednesday and Thursday for our Virtual Eagle Fest. While we had a few technology issues, by and large, most of you were able to move through the sessions to learn more about what we are planning for your children for the fall. As a reminder, the next event will be one to help ensure students will be able to gain access to all classes next week. This list should help you to help them!
- Beginning next week sometime Tuesday and Wednesday, your child (not you) will get emails from Blackboard in their Gmail fcpsschools.net account. They may come in one long thread. Look for a new BBCU LINKS folder (see below) on the far left of their Gmail mailbox. Please tell your child NOT to delete these emails as they may need them later if they look access. If you do not receive a link for each class on your schedule by Wednesday at 12:00pm, please email your teacher. Their name and email can be found in SIS.
- Next week, your child will get an assignment in Google Classroom (7th grade code: skulxcy; 8th grade code: qfwlacc). This will be an organizer to help them put all of their class links in one document.
- On Thursday, September 3rd, please have your student log in to each period at the times below so that they can do a tech-check before school begins on September 8th.
- You as a parent have one homework assignment: Complete the online forms to include health forms, contact form, and most importantly, the technology permissions form you received in an email from Ms. Owens yesterday.
Thank you for your continued trust and support. We look forward to getting to know you all this school year.

SCHEDULES ARE COMING!
On Wednesday, September 2, you will be able to see your schedule in SIS Student or ParentVUE! As you review your schedule, please look over it to see if it is complete and correct. Students should have the following classes. Classes may NOT be in this order, but all classes should be listed:
If you think there is an error (Ex: you have two PE classes, you are a 7th grader in an 8th grade class, you are missing a core class), please use this form to let us know of the error.
If you do not see an elective that you signed up for, please do not use this form. Unfortunately, elective choices are not guaranteed, so we sometimes use backup electives to make sure all students have a complete schedule. We usually cannot make elective changes since teachers are hired based on the choices students make when selecting classes. In addition, FCPS changed the names of some classes this year. Last year, classes had names like FACS 7 and 8, and 7 was not a prerequisite for 8. Now we have FACS 1 and 2. In some cases it is ok for your student to take the 2 version of the class before the 1 version of the class. We did our best to address issues like this over the last few weeks and believe all students have complete and correct schedules.
