Laptop Distribution at Franklin This Week
Our tech team has been hard at work to prepare a successful Laptop Distribution program this week. We can't wait to see during the next few days. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the school at 703-904-5100.
Each Franklin student is provided a school-issued laptop, charger, and carrying case to access virtual learning from home and school throughout the 2020-21 school year. The distribution of this FCPSOn equipment will follow health guidelines through the use of social distancing and drive-thru pickup.
To ensure that the distribution process runs as efficiently as possible for all of our families, please plan to arrive at the assigned time according to the first letter of your student’s last name.
If you are unable to attend during your specified session, please complete this form and another opportunity will be communicated to you by our staff.
Preparation before arrival:
All persons visiting Franklin must complete the health questionnaire prior to arriving.
Students will need to be present in order to properly set up their laptop.
For logging on to their new laptop, students will need to know:
- Their username (7-digit FCPS ID number)
- Their password (same 8-character password as last spring)
Before arriving for laptop pick-up, please have your student test their username and password on a home computer or Smartphone by logging in to Google Classroom using their FCPS account (XXXXXXX@fcpsschools.net).
While in Google Classroom, please have your student join their grade-level Google Classroom:
- 7th Grade GC code: jqslnfk
- 8th Grade GC code: zaxw5ro
If your student does not remember or has not been assigned a password, please complete this form and a new password will be assigned on the day that you arrive. Students can also use the Password Recovery site if their recovery information, such as an alternate email or cell phone number, have been entered previously.
