Virtual Student Kickoff Resources

We are looking forward to a great virtual start to our school year on September 8. As we prepare for this exciting day, our staff have developed a series of activities for all FMS students to complete at their own pace. These activities have been designed to assist students in learning about our school and community. Additionally, we have several resources and tips for you to check out that will set you up for a successful school year. Be on the lookout for a message that will be sent out on Monday that will help you access all of these resources in your grade-level Google Classrooms! We can’t wait to connect with you. It is going to be a great year!

Laptop Distribution is Next Week!

Each Franklin student is provided a school-issued laptop, charger, and carrying case to access virtual learning from home and school throughout the 2020-21 school year. The distribution of this FCPSOn equipment will follow health guidelines through the use of social distancing and drive-thru pickup.

To ensure that the distribution process runs as efficiently as possible for all of our families, please plan to arrive at the assigned time according to the first letter of your student’s last name.

School Supplies

Please take a moment to review this suggested list of school supplies for our virtual start to the school year. It is likely that this list will evolve as we learn what supports our students need. Specific courses may have additional supply requests that will be communicated during the opening weeks of the school year.

If you need assistance with providing a backpack and school supplies for your child for the current school year, please contact the main office or stop by the Administrative Station when you arrive for laptop distribution. Backpacks filled with supplies will be distributed with laptops upon request.
