* Rising 7th grade students can return laptops to Shrevewood any day this week from 9-3. *
This year, FCPS has provided us with an updated supply list for our community to reference, so you can purchase the materials your child will need to start the school year virtually on September 8. Please see the supply list below.
If you ordered SPROUT supplies through the PTA, these will be available for pick up later in August. We are waiting on a confirmed delivery date from the company and will share distribution plans as soon as possible.
We have been so happy to 'see' such great parent participation in the Community Coffees over the summer and are looking forward to working with staff and families to help all Shrevewood students succeed this year. Here are a few reminders/items for August:

(2) We are organizing grade level virtual BINGO for the week of August 31! Come pick up your Bingo cards and some Shrevewood owls "swag" during laptop distribution (see dates above)
(3)If you ordered a SPROUT supply kit, please come pick it up during laptop distribution on Aug 24 and 27 (see above). If you would like to donate your supplies, please email ptaboardshrevewood@gmail.com.

Is your child starting Kindergarten this year? Sign up for a Virtual Kindergarten play date! Jeanne McKinley has been an FCPS School Counselor for 12 years, and is devoted to building warm, respectful relationships with students, staff, and families of all backgrounds, and enjoys helping students grow in healthy, positive ways. Mrs. McKinley graduated from Virginia Tech (Go Hokies!) with a degree in Architecture, and later earned her Master's Degree in School Counseling from Marymount University. As a career switcher, one of her guiding principles is helping students appreciate their unique gifts, which can be sources of self-esteem, provide children with a sense of purpose, and become motivators for academic achievement. Mrs. McKinley values serving staff and families, appreciates sharing ideas collaboratively, and is open to conversations about how best to help children overcome challenges.
