Woodburn

So thankful to our team of teachers who helped pack resources for our students this week!

Dear Woodburn Families,

Thank you for joining us for our community meeting earlier this week.  If you missed the meeting you can access the information we shared on our school website.

We appreciated the thoughtful questions and feedback shared during the meeting.  To honor your request we will be sharing the instructional schedules for each grade level in next week's newsletter.  We hope having this information early will support your planning for a successful start to the year.

Many important dates have been shared below.  Please note that our Back to School Night has been changed to September 16th.

We are just a few weeks away from reuniting with our Wildcats and we couldn't be more excited.  Please do not hesitate to reach out to us if we can support you as you prepare for September 8th!

Sincerely,

Katy Richman, Principal

Bridget Louder, Assistant Principal

News From FCPS

Message About Tutoring Pods

Across the country, many parents are joining together to engage private tutors (who are often school teachers) to provide tutoring or home instruction for small groups of children. While there is no systematic way to track these private efforts, it’s clear that a number of “pandemic pods” or tutoring pods are being established in Fairfax County. We are aware of these tutoring pods, as well as some accompanying community concerns. These instructional efforts are not supported by or in any way controlled by FCPS—for several reasons. Read more.
