Dear Families,

Our goal is to send information out as we have it available to help your child prepare for back to school in September. For this week, we concentrated on collecting laptops. We are short of 340 computers to collect. With that, we'll be holding a LAST curbside collection of FCPSOn laptops AND chargers on Friday, August 7th from 8:00-10:30am. When you arrive at Lanier Middle School, please pull in the Kiss & Ride loop and wait for a staff member to come to your car outside of Door #10. Please SIGN UP HERE!!

Prior to arriving:

Remove all personal stickers and decals.
Clean device to the best of your ability.
Have this information attached to your laptop:

Full Name
Student ID number

Have your charger ready to turn in with your laptop.
Check your home for LMS library and text books, instruments you will not need for the fall, and music uniforms.

For planning purposes, below are the dates we have scheduled to distribute new student computers for students enrolled at Lanier Middle School for the 2020-2021 school year. This will be for our 2020-21 school year 7^th and 8^th graders.

*Dates subject to change.

August 19, 20, 24, 25. More specific times and sign up links will come out in August. Plan to spend about 5-10 minutes at LMS for pick up as you will have to have your student (they MUST come with you) log in to the device from the car for the initial activation.

This week, we are also sharing our bell schedule so that you will know how to help your child be successful this school year <<see below>>. Mondays will be used for asynchronous work and for more individualized help sessions. We are working hard to build teams to support your child and will send you updates as we get closer to September 8.
