Do you have a Woodburn laptop at home? If so, follow the tips below so that your laptop will be ready to go in September!
On Monday, August 10, we will be collecting laptops from our rising 5th, 6th, and 7th grade students. Laptops and chargers may be dropped off at Woodburn Elementary from 9-12. When you drop off at Woodburn, please adhere to the following:
- Drop off will be done at the front of school. Please drive up through Kiss & Ride lane.
- Building access will not be permitted
- One person may be permitted to get out of the car with a laptop and charger. They will place the laptop and charger on the table outside.
- Student or guardian will tell the staff member the name of their student
- Please allow us time to check in the device and verify the process for you.
- While it is preferred that parents and students drive to the school, walk-ups will be handled as well. If you do walk up to the school, please ensure you adhere to social distancing and a mask must be worn.
By turning in your laptop and charger, the process for the FCPSon device pick-up will be more efficient. We will miss our rising 7th grade Wildcats!
We are very excited for our rising kindergartners to join our Woodburn community! We want to learn more about our youngest wildcats and invite parents to participate in a brief survey. The information shared will help us build strong classroom communities.
The Kindergarten Parent Questionnaire can be accessed here. Thank you for taking time to share this information with us by Monday, August 3rd!
A Message From Michele Randall, Girl Scout Leader:
In Girl Scouts your girl will prepare for a lifetime of leadership, success, and adventure in a safe, no-limits place designed for and by girls!
How? Through the Girl Scout Leadership Experience—a collection of engaging, challenging, and fun activities like earning badges, going on awesome trips, selling cookies, exploring science, getting outdoors, and doing community service projects.
I am hosting a virtual meeting on August 11th at 6 pm. Below is the chime link to the meeting. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Stay safe and healthy and of course Stay Girl Scout Strong!!
Thank you for your time,
Michele Randall

A continued special thanks to Lynn Rozental for her amazing effort coordinating an ongoing food drive to benefit our community. There is a box on the porch 24/7. No deadlines- whenever you have time to shop/drop off. You can also order food online and have it sent. If you have any questions please call 202-590-7034
