HIDDEN NAME ART ACTIVITY

Materials:  watercolor paints, card stock, white crayon.

TIP:  Based on the levels of your learners,  you may want to provide a visual guide of their name. We chose to set out a loose letters sensory bin for children to practice assembling their names. An index card with their name was also included for reference.

Write their name very large on the cardstock.  They paint over each area (letter) with watercolor.  Beautiful art is created while reinforcing the letters in their name.

RACE TO FILL

This is an easy game that can be varied by cup size and choice of manipulatives as well as the overall objective of the activity.

This activity can be played with 2-4 players.  Players will need same sized cup, a die, a set of small counters (beans or small rocks would work)

Player 1 will roll the die and then using his jumbo tweezer will add a matching set of counters to his cup.  Player 2 will do the same and then play will repeat until one player fills his cup to the top.  The first player to fill the cup, wins!!!

You can have the kids add the numbers or subtract to increase difficulty.  You can also change the size of the cups.
