Shrevewood Wise Words

Message from Mr. DeSmyter

Hello Shrevewood Family,

Thank you for submitting your enrollment surveys this week. I know that this was a difficult decision for you and your family in just a short time. I also want to thank all the Kindergarten families that attended the Kindergarten Meet and Greet last night. You asked some really good questions that will help us prepare for the school year in-person and for the virtual session.

We are hoping to have more information to share with you August 11th in our next Parent Coffee and our second Kindergarten Meet and Greet on August 13th. Our PTA is working on setting up a virtual play date for our Kindergarten students to get to know each other and to start building some relationships. Look for more information to come from our PTA about the date and time.

The first day of school for the 2020-2021 school year has officially been moved to Tuesday, September 8th.  This delay to the start of the school year will provide staff members additional time to plan instruction and schedules, provide professional staff development, and finalize transportation and other operational details.

Enjoy your weekend and reach out to us if you have any questions.

Sincerely,

Joshua DeSmyter

Principal
