Need to Contact Us?

Even with the school building closed to visitors, there are different ways to contact us –

- Help with technology? Please complete the Summer Laptop Help form

- Moving or need help with registration? Please contact Ms. Jenny Lim

- To schedule an in-person appointment or other needs? Please email Ms. Mariela Eberhardt

- Want information about school start? Please see FCPS Return to School webpage and the Frequently Asked Questions for Families page

We are preparing to open our school building for pre-scheduled, in-person appointments only as needed.  All in-person meetings will be by appointment only.  An example of appointment include finalizing student registration. If we can serve you over the phone, that is the preferred method in order to keep your family as well as our staff as safe as possible.  All visitors to our school building do need to follow the same safety guidelines as is expected of our students.

Parent Commitment Survey Due July 15, 2020

Parents and caregivers are asked to commit to one instructional option for the entire 2020-21 school year. If health conditions improve, FCPS would then reassess the operating status.

Responses are due by July 15, 2020. If no response is received, the student will be enrolled for in-person instruction for the year.

More information on full time Online Learning and In-person Learning (with health and social distancing) is available at the links above.

To select the option for your child or children, please:

  • STEP 1: Access the online form at https://www.fcps.edu/enroll2020.
  • STEP 2: Log in with your child’s Student ID and either the enrolling parent’s email address or phone number.  If you need help with this information, please contact Ms. Mariela Eberhardt.
  • STEP 3: Make your selection and finish by clicking the “Submit Form” button at the bottom of the form.

Summer Reading

BMP Librarian, Ms. Watson, is excited to share the Summer Reading Board with students!  It is filled with mini-challenges and directly links to a variety of online reading resources.

In addition, we have lots of new electronic books available to students for reading starting this summer.  Please have your child log in to the library database using their ID number and student password and check out these great resources!

Mental Wellness Consultations

FCPS Office of Intervention and Prevention Services will continue to offer mental wellness consultations throughout the summer. If you have concerns about your child’s well-being or if your child would like to speak with a school psychologist or school social worker, please request a consultation.  Our FCPS mental health providers are available to help families get needed support through a 45-minute phone consultation or through secure video conferencing. Appointments are open to all FCPS families.

Consultations are offered in two ways:

  • Directly to parents of students in any grade level. This consultation provides an opportunity for parents to receive guidance on how to support their child’s social-emotional, behavioral, or academic functioning. Information about community resources will also be made available.
  • Directly to students in middle or high school. This consultation provides support and strategies to students who may be experiencing difficulties with anxiety, mood, behavior, or peer or family interactions; as well as academic challenges such as organization, time-management, or adjusting to a new school.

We encourage parents to take advantage of this service. Click here to request a consultation. You may also leave us a message at 571-423-4276.

Bren Mar Park Virtual Parent Meetings

Thank you to the families who joined us for our first Bren Mar Park Parent Information Session on Friday, July 10th!  Participating parents heard what it is expected to look like in Bren Mar Park classrooms this fall, and questions were answered about the two options for families.

Mrs. Williams, principal, will offer additional sessions for families after the deadline for family choice.  The three sessions, divided by grade levels, will be offered to allow for smaller groups to ask questions and receive responses.  The schedule of virtual meetings is below and the links will be shared as we get closer to the dates.
