Franklin MS Update - July 7

Dear Franklin Families and Students,

Good Afternoon!

In last night's Town Hall with Dr. Brabrand, we learned that staff and families will have until Wednesday, July 15 to make their preference known for next year regarding the in-person or virtual school options. This provides you with five additional days to submit a decision. All families should have received an email with information about how to submit your selection and additional details can be found at the bottom of this message.

I am committed to keeping you updated and informed as more details about the Return to School Plan become available. In addition to the resources above, I will be hosting a Franklin MS Virtual Parent Coffee. During this time, I will provide a brief overview of the Return to School Plan, but the majority of the time will be devoted to answering your questions. This session was originally scheduled for tomorrow evening, but due to the change in the school preference deadline, the Virtual Parent Coffee will now take place on Monday, July 13 and we will host two sessions. There will be one session at 9:00 AM and an identical session at 5:00 PM.  A link for each session is available below and you can submit questions for these sessions here.

How to Make Your Choice by July 15

To select the option that works best for your child(ren), please follow the steps below:

STEP 1: Access the online form at: .

STEP 2: Log in with your child’s Student ID* and either the enrolling parent’s email address or phone number on file in the FCPS Student Information System (SIS). 

STEP 3: Make your selection and finish by clicking the “Submit Form” button at the bottom of the form.

STEP 4: Check your email for a message acknowledging receipt of your enrollment decision with additional information about the enrollment process and a link to change your selection, if desired.

STEP 5: Repeat this process for each of your children attending school in FCPS for school year 2020-21.
