Justice Graduation

A Note from Principal Eck

Dear Justice Families,

       We are excited to announce the Justice High School was recognized by the Virginia Board of Education as one of 46 Fairfax County public schools for continuous improvement under the board’s exemplar performance school recognition program. Schools recognized for continuous improvement met one of the following four criteria based on performance during 2018-19:

  • A 10-point increase in the combined rate in reading and math, and in the pass rate in science;
  • A 10-point increase in the combined rate in reading and math for two or more student groups across three years;
  • A decrease in the chronic absenteeism rate for three years; or
  • For schools with a graduating class, an increase in the Graduation and Completion Index and a decrease in the dropout rate for three years.

     Last week, FCPS shared the framework for Return to School for the 2020-21 school year. The framework offers families a choice of in-school learning for students with health and social distancing protocols in place or an online, virtual learning option at the family’s request.

     The Justice Pyramid Principals want to offer our families the opportunity to meet with us to discuss the various options for the reopening of schools. We will host two community meetings next week on July 1 @ 7:00 PM and July 2 @ 10 AM. We are sending links to parents through e-Notify. Please be sure to check your email.

     We look forward to seeing everyone soon.

Summer Learning Opportunities

From Monday, July 6th – Friday, July 31, Justice students will have the opportunity to take advantage of the Continuity of Learning program which is a free summer program that offers Justice High School students an opportunity to review concepts and skills using recommended self-directed digital materials.  Materials will not be collected or graded.

The digital materials will be housed on the FCPS 24-7 learning Mathematics and English sites  (Summer Learning Materials). Justice teachers will be available each week through office hours to assist students with the digital materials or other learning goals that they may be working on throughout the summer.

Here are a list of teachers and times available. Please email teachers to receive link to office hours.
