Activities Update
Fall Sports 2020
This is the time of year when fall sports programs would be having their interest meetings in order to connect with, and collect information from, student-athletes who would like to play their sport. Due to the shutdown of the school buildings, coaches are unable to have face to face meetings. So, the information below is in lieu of those interest meetings. Click on the google classroom link and/or the lancersportszone website link to get valuable information about all of the sports, and Lee Athletics in general. Click on the google form and submit your information to the coach of your particular sport. Student-athletes are also encouraged to use the contact information below to connect with the coaches. Also, be on the lookout for video messaging very soon from all of our athletics and club programs in leiu of our spring activities fair. Coaches may be sending out additional information and/or conducting virtual meetings at some point as well.

Below are the two things all athletes must have to try-out. Please check each individual sport page to see what else may be needed such as a try-out criteria or weight room form.

VHSL Physical form to be filled out by a doctor. Must be dated AFTER May 1, 2020

Concussion Education for athletes and parents: Every athlete and one parent must read the concussion packet, sign and return the signature page to the ATC (YEARLY).

As of today, there has been no change to the fall sports calendar. If anything, including our start date changes, we will let you know as soon as possible.
It appears that non-emergency visits to the doctor will soon be allowed. I encourage all of you to schedule your physicals as soon as possible. Participation will continue to require a physical that is dated after May 1, 2020. There will most likely not be a physical date at Lee this year since the schools are closed. The concussion signature sheet will also continue to be required and should be submitted with the physical. Typically we are able to pull current students Emergency Care Cards from our database at school and athletes are only required to submit hard copies if they are new to Lee. If we are unable to get this done this year, we will let you know. For now, assume we will take care of Emergency Care Cards and don’t fill one out.
One other concern of ours right now is that we will have players show up in August physically not ready to practice. Any student who is planning to participate in a fall is strongly encouraged to workout and be active as much as possible.
