 Please join Fairhill in congratulating Mrs. Leslie Howard, school librarian, for her win of the Virginia Lottery "Thank a Teacher" campaign.
Mrs. Howard’s name was drawn from nearly 3,000 entries submitted by teachers who entered a special code from their thank-you notes in the prize drawing. Just yesterday, Virginia Lottery officials surprised Mrs. Howard with the good news via BlackBoard Collaborate during our weekly staff meeting. The video chat included an additional surprise with an appearance by Secretary of Education Atif Qarni, who congratulated Mrs. Howard and thanked her and her team for all they’ve done this spring to help their students learn from home.
We are so proud of Mrs. Howard and her impact on the Fairhill community. We hope she enjoys a much deserved Virginia Vacation from the Virginia Lottery.
In honor of Mrs. Howard, our school was also awarded a $5,000 credit to the Supply Store.
