Registration for 2020-2021

Registration of students for the upcoming 2020-2021 school year is to be conducted virtually while schools and offices remain closed. One of the following two processes can be used to conduct a temporary registration:

  • The Temporary Enrollment Intake Form is intended to be used when gathering registration information for a student whose family has limited access to technology or limited English.  It is designed to get the specific information that is needed to generate a student ID number so that a student can be added to the Student Information System (SIS).  This form should be completed over the phone use and should not be sent via e-mail for parents to complete.
  • The Enrollment Bundle is the official registration packet and can be sent electronically as a link via e-mail to the parent.  This bundle can be used for students whose families have access to technology that allows them to fill out forms online and send them back to the registrar via e-mail.

Note that these are temporary registration processes intended to be used while schools and offices are closed.  These are not official registrations since parents will need to finalize the registration process in person to provide an original birth certificate.  Parents are also required to provide proof of residency, school records, and proof of all school health entrance requirements as outlined in the Registration Requirements Flyer.

Yearbook Pick Up

There will be pick up days for students who ordered yearbooks this summer. These dates will also be used to collect laptops that have been distributed to 6th grade students or families that are not returning to Terraset. Additionally, 6th grade students will be able to come to Terraset to pick up certificates from Virtual Promotion Ceremony.

Lost & Found Items Available & Make-up Classroom Materials Pickup

A make-up date has been scheduled for the pickup of student materials. Any items from the Lost & Found will also be made available during this time. This event will take place from 9:30 am-12:30 pm on Thursday 6/18.

Please enter the school lot via the bus loop. Lost & Found items will be outside the lower main entrance door. School staff will be available to help if you are picking up classroom materials.

If you have any questions, please reach out to Assistant Principal Dave Ickowski.

Wellness Resources for the Summer

Need to speak with a counselor? Any FCPS parent may schedule a 30-minute phone consultation with a school psychologist or school social worker, for either themselves or their middle or high school student. Consultations provide an opportunity for parents to receive guidance on how to support their child’s emotional well-being during their time away from school. Student consultations will provide support and strategies to students who may be experiencing difficulties with anxiety, mood, behavior, or peer or family interactions during this unprecedented and challenging time.

Note: Parent consultations are available for all grade levels. Student consultations are only available for middle and high school students.

Social Emotional Wellness Considerations for Parents and Caregivers From the Virginia Department of Education

The Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) has put together a resource listing that will help you and your child to prioritize your mental wellness.  In addition to keeping children physically safe during the pandemic, it is also important to care for their emotional health.  The threat of COVID-19, long-term social distancing, and prolonged disruption to the school routine may create significant stress and impact children's mental well-being.

The information below will assist you in navigating this period together in a healthy way.
