Daniels Run Families,
FCPS school buildings will remain closed through the end of July. Therefore, we will continue to provide recommended distance learning opportunities for students throughout the summer. FCPS is offering several optional distance learning opportunities this summer for students to review and practice essential skills from the current grade.
- Students currently in grades K-6 at Daniels Run will have access to Imagine Learning (an online language and literacy program where your child can continue to develop literacy skills through fun games and short lessons) and Dreambox (an online Math program that helps build conceptual understanding and increase procedural proficiency). You will need a laptop, tablet or desktop computer (no cellphones) and make sure you use Chrome.
- Students currently in grades K-6 will receive both a Mathematics and a Language Arts Essentials Summer Practice Workbook in the mail by the end of June. Digital versions of the books will also be posted on the Continuity of Learning Blackboard page. These books will provide practice activities to review essential content from the 2019-2020 school year and do not preview content from next year's grade level.
- To register your student for office hours and receive a secure link, please complete the Summer Distance Learning Form by Friday, June 19th. Once registered, your child will receive log-in information via their FCPS Google email address prior to the first session.
- A Daniels Run teacher will be available on a Blackboard Collaborate link, one hour each week between June 29th and July 31st to answer student questions about the summer workbook.
