June 12th- Last Day for "Pick-up/Drop off" of Belongings

Dear Colvin Run families,

Our last Student Personal Belonging Pick-up/ Drop off will be Friday, June 12th  8:30 a.m.- 10:00 a.m.  We adjusted the time so not to interfere with the 6th grade students' community car parade.

Take care,

Mr. Junge

Kindergarten-Fifth Grade Student Personal Belongings - June 12th (8:30-10:00) Door 1

  • We have placed all of your child's personal belongings into a paper bag ready for you to pick up.  Thank you to the many families who were able to pick up their items May 29th.  We will have our final personal belongings pick up Friday, June 12 for any family who was not able to attend the May 29th event.  Each child has their own paper bag with their name on it waiting for you to pick up.  We will have our 'contactless pickup' and need your help to ensure your health and the health of our staff members.  6th Grade students will have the opportunity to pick up their items between 10:30-11:30 a.m..

Third grade Violin return - June 12th (8:30-10:00) Door 1

  • All third grade students must return their violin before summer begins.  Families should place the violin in the back of their vehicle and come through the lower Parking Lot to Door 1 to return it through our ‘contactless’ drop off.

Kindergarten-Fifth Grade Laptops - June 12th (8:30-10:00) Door 1

  • All Kindergarten-Fifth Grade students who are returning to Colvin Run ES in the fall should keep the laptop for summer use.  FCPS will be offering optional digital summer opportunities for students to stay engaged in their learning June 29-July 31, so families are encouraged to keep their laptop over the summer.  More information will be shared in an upcoming newsletter.  6th grade families received a separate email regarding this information as it pertains to them.
  • Any Kindergarten-Fifth grade student not returning to CRES must return their laptop.   Families should place the laptop in the back of their vehicle and come through the lower Parking Lot to Door 1 to return it through our ‘contactless’ drop off.

Lost & Found - June 12th (8:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m.) Door 1

  • Friday, June 12th, families can search through Lost & Found for any forgotten items.  You will find the Lost & Found items outside of Door 2 in front of the school.

Library Books - June 8 through June 12th (9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. daily) Door 1

  • If you have only Library books to return, you may stop by CRES and place them in a bin located outside Door 1 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. daily.

Home Preparation for Your ‘Contactless’ Pick up

  1. Last Name Sign- Create your Family's Last Name on a homemade sign or use your Kiss and Ride Sign.  Make sure the sign shows the last name of your child.
  2. Library Books- Place all Library books into one ‘family’ bag (plastic or paper) to return.  Even if you have multiple children, place all library books into one bag.  If you have an overdue Library book, the Librarians emailed you this week with the name of each book and a picture of each book needing to be returned.
  3. Individual Child bag of returned items- Create one bag (plastic or paper) for each of your children clearly labeled with their name and grade. (Jess Dragon 1st Gr., James Dragon 3rd Gr.). Place anything from home (classroom book, chorus folder, borrowed resource, etc.) that needs to be returned to the school.
  4. Place the Library book bag and individual child bags in the trunk area of your vehicle.
