We see you

Our mission: #TerrasetTogether

As we wrap up this unbelievable school year, we want to thank you for your patience, your persistence, your compassion and grace as we all navigated these unchartered waters together.  Our teachers and staff have completely re-done the way they teach – in a very short amount of time. They have worked tirelessly and passionately and for their efforts, we are unbelievably grateful.

We are all looking forward to summer and to coordinating our efforts for next year.  Please be on the lookout for ways you can contribute to our mission moving forward: #TerrasetTogether.

We wish you a happy and healthy summer.  We will be in touch as decisions about next school year are made.

Kindly,

Lindsay Trout and David Ickowski

#TerrasetTogether

Wellness Resources for the Summer

Need to speak with a counselor? Any FCPS parent may schedule a 30-minute phone consultation with a school psychologist or school social worker, for either themselves or their middle or high school student. Consultations provide an opportunity for parents to receive guidance on how to support their child’s emotional well-being during their time away from school. Student consultations will provide support and strategies to students who may be experiencing difficulties with anxiety, mood, behavior, or peer or family interactions during this unprecedented and challenging time.

Note: Parent consultations are available for all grade levels. Student consultations are only available for middle and high school students.

Schedule a phone consultation online or https://forms.gle/WKchwGnv4LkezQwG8

Social Emotional Wellness Considerations for Parents and Caregivers From the Virginia Department of Education

The Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) has put together a resource listing that will help you and your child to prioritize your mental wellness.  In addition to keeping children physically safe during the pandemic, it is also important to care for their emotional health.  The threat of COVID-19, long-term social distancing, and prolonged disruption to the school routine may create significant stress and impact children's mental well-being.

The information below will assist you in navigating this period together in a healthy way.
