Fairview is hosting a Vehicle Curbside Pickup of student items on Thursday, June 4 and Friday, June 5. Our schedule is based on Oldest & Only.

What does Oldest & Only mean? Your family needs to only attend ONE pickup date and time which is determined by the grade level of your oldest or only child. (Example: A family has a student in fourth grade and first grade. Your family will come during fourth grade’s assigned time.)

How will the curbside pickup be organized? Please display the first and last name of your student(s) clearly in your front window. Access the school parking lot from Burke Centre Parkway only and follow the directions of staff. We ask that you remain in your vehicle at all times. Staff will deliver items to your car.

During the pickup students may return items that they have borrowed from school and/or their teacher (books-classroom or library, patrol belts, etc.).  We will not be collecting laptops during this time.  If you have borrowed a laptop, there will be a separate return process for these items.

If you do not wish to retrieve your child’s classroom belongings at all, please fill out the following form to let us know. Please note that by filling out this form, your student’s items will not be bagged or available for pick-up. School supplies may be donated or saved for future use.

Digital Citizenship Reminders

As we enter a distance learning environment, it becomes more important than ever to apply practices of good digital citizenship. Students have been learning digital citizenship at Fairview all year, but reminders are always helpful. We strongly encourage adults to actively monitor students' use of technology to help maintain a safe and productive digital community.
Resources to families can be found on the FCPS Digital Citizenship webpage.
