Picking up student belongings - English version

Dear Families,

It doesn’t seem possible that the end of the year is fast approaching! We have missed your children and wish we could be together to celebrate, but unfortunately, the pandemic has impacted our plans.

For the last two weeks, our staff has been packing up your children’s’ belongings, as well as coordinating the distribution of yearbooks, spring pictures and personalized medications. We are now ready to distribute these bags of materials to our school community.

Please see the schedule below. It is essential that you adhere to the schedule, as staff will deliver the bags to your car. As we have over 1100 student bags to distribute, please stay in your cars and we will place the bag in the trunk or back seat of your vehicle.

To assist us, we are asking that you create a sign with your child’s name and teacher’s name. Please display the sign as you enter the parking lot. This will decrease wait time.

For those of you that have more than one child at Glen Forest, please list all children on your sign and their teachers’ names, so we can collect all your children’s bags at one time. This will prevent you from having to make multiple trips to school.

After receiving your child’s bag, we ask that you drop off any school materials; such as, band and string instruments, library books and classroom reading books. There will be bins labeled for these items in front of the school. Please see the map for driving directions.

The last station is for those who need to pick up their children’s medications and for those receiving refunds. Guidelines will be posted as to the procedure to pick up these items to ensure we adhere to the Health Department’s recommendations.

If you are feeling ill or have been asked by the Health Department to quarantine, please do not come to school. Stay home and we will arrange another time for you and your family that is more convenient.

We wish you and your family a healthy summer and look forward to seeing everyone in August, when hopefully, school will reopen.

Sincerely,

Cindi Choate, Amber Richard, Liz Manning and Danielle Freese
