Locker Item Retrieval

Liberty MS is following county guidelines and allowing times for parents to pick up items that students had in both their regular and PE locker, as well as medicine left in the clinic.  Our staff have packed up the items and they are labeled and ready for pick up.

Important Notes:

  • This will be “drive through” only.  Please enter through Kiss and Ride entrance and follow staff directions.
  • Please remain in your car.  No parents or students will be allowed to enter the building.
  • You may return textbooks, library books, calculators at the same time.
  • We will have a separate drop off in June for laptops.
  • Please see the schedule below for days and times for pick up of items.  If you cannot attend at your allotted time frame, you may come during the other hours offered but we have split it alphabetically to cut down lines and wait time.
  • Please write STUDENT last name, first name, and student ID largely on a piece of paper to be displayed on your dashboard.
  • If you do not pick up your items by the last pick up day (June 4th), your items will either be discarded or donated.  We will not be holding items beyond June 4th.
  • We are not responsible for lost items.

Student Intention Forms for 2020-2021

We need your help in projecting our total enrollment for next school year.  For families NOT returning to Liberty Middle School in the fall of 2020-2021, please complete and return the “Student’s Intention for the Next School Year” form by Friday, May 22, 2020.  You may access the form on the FCPS public website: https://www.fcps.edu/registration/forms#intention-form .

A typed parent/guardian name on the Parent Signature line is acceptable, and the Student ID Number may be left blank if you do not have the information.  Please save the completed form, attach it to an email, and send to Jenni Carnahan at jscarnahan@fcps.edu.  If you do not have the capability to complete and email the form, you may leave a telephone message at: 703-988-8200.  Information to include in the message is:  Name of student; Parent/Guardian name and telephone number; current grade; name of school of attendance for next school year, indicating if the school is in FCPS, another county or state, private school, or intention to home school.

We appreciate your help in helping us to plan for the 2020-2021 school year.

food pantry

WFCM Food Pantry

Here are three new ways to help families in need in our community. The WFCM food pantry is a resource for many of our Liberty families. Through community support, the pantry was able to provide 95,504 lbs. of food to 551 families, 1,580 individuals, last month. This included 532 School’s Out bags of food for school age kids. 41,000 lbs. of food was received through donations and with an additional $7,500, the pantry was able to purchase food to fill in the gaps for our families.  If you would like to be a part of this community outreach, there are three different ways you can support the food pantry.

  1. Donate cash on their website https://wfcmva.org/
  2. Click on the Amazon link and ship food items directly to the food pantry through their  Amazon wish list
  3. Shop at the Giant Food Store located at 5615 Stone Road, Centreville, VA 20120 and place your donated food items into the “lend a box” bins at Giant which go directly to the food pantry
