This week is we are celebrating our teachers and staff. Happy Teacher Appreciation Week 2020!
We are so pleased that we had a smooth week of distance learning last week! We look forward to enhancing our synchronous (live) instruction even more this week. Please remember that this is not a substitute for face to face instruction. Every family has different needs and circumstances at home so please do what works for your family. We are recording all live sessions so you can access them when it’s convenient for your family. As a reminder, everything is optional, including online instruction, learning packets, and channel 21 instruction. Additionally, you have access to multiple grade levels of instruction on FCPS 24-7 learning if you are looking for extensions or review items for your child.

Student Intention Forms for 2020-2021
We need your help in projecting our total enrollment for next school year. For families NOT returning to Terra Centre or Robinson (rising 7th graders) in the fall of 2020-21, please complete and return the “Student’s Intention for the Next School Year” form by Monday, May 18.
A typed parent/guardian name on the Parent Signature line is acceptable. Student ID Number may be left blank. Save the completed form, attach it to an email and send to dmcunningham@fcps.edu.

Registering a New Student in Grades 1 through 6?
Please contact Dee Cunningham, our school registrar, at dmcunningham@fcps.edu. Please provide the student's first and last name, enrolling parent's first and last name, student mailing address, parent email address, and parent phone number. Mrs. Cunningham will be in contact with you via email.

Updated Third Quarter Grading Timeline
Due to the pause in teacher-led “live” instruction, the third quarter was extended until Friday, May 1, 2020.
Access in ParentVUE and StudentVUE to view the report card module will be closed from Fri, May 1 at 4 p.m. until Saturday, May 9 at 6 a.m..
Progress Reports
Progress Reports for this year’s 3rd and 4th quarters will be produced centrally for all elementary schools. Third quarter grades should be finalized on Friday, May 8 at 11:59 p.m. and will be visible in ParentVUE and StudentVUE on Saturday, May 9 at 6 a.m.. Any additional grade changes after May 8 must be completed by Tuesday, May 12 at 6:00 p.m. to ensure the correct grades are printed. Progress reports for printing will begin generating after 6:00 p.m. on May 12. We anticipate the printed report cards will be provided to the postal service by May 23. Actual delivery to homes will be dependent on the postal service. School addresses will be used as the return address on the report cards.
Parents and/or guardians at the ES level do not have the “Go Paperless” option this school year. If you have secondary students, you may opt to “Go Paperless” to discontinue printed secondary level report cards but they will still receive printed ES Progress Reports for their ES students this school year.
Mental Health Resources
Supporting our students and families continues to be our priority. Our entire wellness team, including school counselors, social worker and school psychologist are available to students and families. Please reach out to our staff below if you have questions or need support.
Our school psychologist, Kathi Thibodeau, and school social worker, Christina Marcone, also have a “parent clinic” where parents can schedule a 30 minute phone consult to which either of them.
