KG Updates 5.3.20

Administration Updates and News

Dear Parents,

We had a great week with virtual/synchronous learning!  The teachers loved seeing the students and have thoroughly enjoyed seeing their creativity around the work products and other news that they shared. Below we have shared some of the products and work!

Our parent coffee last Tuesday was a success.  Based on parent input, we will host weekly coffees at 8 a.m. on Tuesdays for the next month.  The link to the Parent Coffee is here.  It will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2020 at 8 a.m. which should avoid interference with the virtual learning.

We also have had some questions around specialists and have developed a summary of their schedule for your reference.  Note that the access for the specialists’ sessions is as follows:

  • Your child should log into Blackboard Learning 24/7
  • Click on the Specialists tab – (Specialists include: AART, Art, PE, Music, FLES, Library, Band, Strings etc.
  • Click on their individual BBCU link.

Note that the students should continue to use the BBCU access that began this week for their homeroom and second block of content.  Please do star this email from the teacher so your child can easily access.

We have also set up a link as a resource for the essential learning standards. These links are the major content areas of math, language arts, science and social studies.

In addition, we have provided a link in which you can provide input for next year’s class placement. Please complete the google form.  Note that we do not accept specific teacher requests but look to place your child in an appropriate setting that meets his/her needs. The due date is May 12, 2020.

Warmly and virtually,
