Panther Press: DL Update and Teacher Appreciation

Dear Providence Families,

We had a great week of learning from a distance. I am happy to report that we did not experience any significant issues with technology this week. Our biggest tech challenge was reminding kids and teachers to unmute their microphones! Thanks to Gina Shelton and Mark Rueffert, our tech team, for leading us through and ensuring that our students who need them have functional laptops.

Could I enlist your help for one additional thing this week? The PTA is collecting quick notes for Teacher Appreciation Week, and I would love to be able to rally your support. The distance learning start has been a challenge, but the PES teachers stayed committed throughout  creating lesson that would work for our students. I know that you have also been a huge factor in making this week a success, and we greatly appreciate it. If you have a chance this weekend, please encourage your child to create a quick thank you note or picture for a teacher who has helped them. The details are below.

Have a great weekend,

Dan

From our terrific PTA:

While things look a little different this year as we work and attend school from home, we still want our teachers to know we love and appreciate them. Now more than ever, we need to remind our teachers just how amazing they are and how much we miss them!

Please help the PTA celebrate our teachers by sending in a picture of your child holding a note or picture, or a sidewalk drawing, bouquet of handpicked flowers or ANYTHING else you choose to show them that you care!

Pictures can be sent to PESappreciation@gmail.com and MUST be received by Monday, May 4th.

By sending in a picture of your child, you are providing consent to the PES PTA and PES to use the pictures.
